The agencies below are just some of the many ways Wesley reaches out to both the local community, and the world. In addition to the many agencies we support through the United Methodist Church, these agencies provide ways we can help our neighbors with immediate, personal impact.
Wesley volunteers help out here three or four times per month depending on the calendar. Contact Phyllis Dixon, (630) 357-1996 to learn more about participating.
Ecumenical Adult Day Care
This agency works to provide adult day services programs and activities that are designed with a personalized approach to caring for the elderly members of our community.
We work with Alleluia Lutheran and Community United Methodist Church to provide food and shelter to our homeless neighbors on the fourth Sunday night and Monday morning each months.
Naperville CROP WALK
Annual fundraising event to fight hunger
Wesley helped begin CROP in Naperville decades ago, and has been there every year as the Naperville walk has grown into one of the most successful in Illinois. Each year, Wesley hosts the kickoff breakfast for volunteers. It's a great way to spend an afternoon in October for a good cause.
On the third Wednesday of each month, Wesley provides a home-cooked meal for the clients of NAMI; contact Linda Osanka at (630) 881-6745 to learn how you can help.
Feed My Starving Children
555 Exchange Court, Aurora, IL
We generally take a team of volunteers every six weeks or so to help pack meals for this organization that sends highly-concentrated, nutritious meals to those in danger of imminent starvation worldwide.
Wesley Food Co-Op
Wesley Food Co-Operative is a not-for-profit organization founded in the 1970s. It is hosted as an outreach of Wesley, and provides a way to purchase foods at wholesale or reduced rates. Co-Op members need not be church members- just willing to save money and lend a hand! Visit their website at the link above to learn more.
